Dubai in November

Comfortable outdoor days return, with long city transfers to plan.

November is a useful time to split days between Dubai’s outdoor districts and indoor museums or malls. Plan each day by neighbourhood; traffic can make cross-city trips slower than the map suggests.

Before you travel

A few checks before Dubai

Pleasant seasonal weather does not settle the travel decision. Check current regional advice, your passport rules and your insurance before paying for the trip.

Passport & visa

Rules depend on nationality

GCC citizens do not need a visa. Other passport holders may qualify for arrival visas or need approval before travel. The UAE government states a six-month passport-validity requirement from entry; check the rules for your passport and residence status.

Vaccinations & medicines

Your route and medication matter

Yellow-fever certification is required for travellers aged 9 months or over arriving from a risk country, including an airport transit longer than 12 hours there. Check routine vaccinations and personal health advice. UAE rules also restrict some medicines; verify your medicine and required documents.

Travel advice & insurance

Regional disruption warning · checked 29 Oct 2026

The US advisory dated 23 October says reconsider UAE travel because of terrorism and armed conflict. UK advice updated 27 October warns of regional escalation, airspace closures and flight disruption. Read your own government’s latest advice and confirm insurance cover for your itinerary and cancellation risks.

Check the passport you will use, every transit country and your arrival permission.

Visa-on-arrival lists can change. A residence permit in another country does not automatically give the same rights as that country’s passport. Tourist-visa applications may also require an onward or return ticket and UAE-valid medical insurance.
